The Challenge

Honeywell needed two fundamentally different products delivered in parallel: a consumer-facing smart home application and a technician-facing product documentation app, each serving a completely different user base with different priorities. The consumer app needed to make IoT device management feel effortless for everyday users, while the technician app needed to solve a real operational problem, field staff and installers lacked fast, reliable access to product documentation across Honeywell's diverse hardware catalog. Delivering both simultaneously, without treating either as secondary, required a team structured for genuine parallel execution, not sequential handoffs.

Our Execution

We ran both product builds in parallel under a single agile framework, synchronizing sprints, backlogs, and feedback loops across two products serving fundamentally different user bases. The smart home application was engineered natively in Swift, optimized for UI responsiveness and battery efficiency on iOS, and built to surface real-time IoT telemetry through a clean, consumer-facing interface, giving users energy tracking and home security monitoring from anywhere. The ED&S Library application was architected for high-speed document retrieval and offline-first access across Android and iOS, structured around searchable, versioned technical documentation with regional-language support, built specifically for field conditions, not desk-based workflows.
